Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Premiere
Ok, so I was beyond excited when I got the phone call for this cake! I was asked to come to New York and make a cake for the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in Manhattan! Such an amazing opportunity I was floored! For this premier, they wanted me to replicate a cake from a wedding scene that takes place in the movie. I was given a blurry picture of the original cake and told they wanted it to be massive. So, massive is what I did! The cake ended up being 10 feet tall with a 36″ base. Yea…that was a joy to stripe lemme tell you! This cake took 9 buckets of fondant and 600+ sugar grapes to decorate the exterior. To stack the cake it took me, a team of 5 men, and an electronic lift to stack the cake tier by tier in the middle of the room. I was so pleased with the finished project, the depth that the lines created was stunning! I was so excited to see it all come together and that it went so well with the theme of the room. Cakes like this don’t come along every day and I was so thrilled they asked me to make it! Enjoy the pictures from the event!
O M G you are an unbelieveable artist…I have to tell you I have never seen such an amazing cake as the steam-punk wedding you did!!! I am overwhelmed at the sheer size of the project and you pulled it off beautifully!! I keep looking at the striping and it is mind numbing to even contemplate doing all that.

Oh wow, I didn’t get the scale of this until I saw you next to it!! What a GINORMOUS cake! You are fabulous! I was hoping to meet you at ICES this past weekend, but I didn’t see you!
There are no words to describe the talent you have. I recently became a cake decorator a couple of years ago, and when I see cakes like yours I’m blown away! I wish I could get some training from you, every one of your cakes is an absolute masterpiece, you are an inspiration to me thanks for sharing your photos. If there is a way to take classes from you, I’ll sign up!
